Terms & Conditions - The Last Boat

By downloading or using the app "The Last Boat", these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app.

1. Introduction

The Last Boat is a productivity and alarm application offered by Unwiring Apps ("we", "us", or "our"). The app is designed to help users wake up and manage their tasks using "War Room" and "Reality Audit" concepts.

2. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Unwiring Apps makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the operation of the app or the information, content, or materials included therein.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unwiring Apps disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

You expressly agree that your use of the app is at your sole risk. Unwiring Apps shall not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this app, including but not limited to:

Direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.
Loss of data, missed appointments, travel delays, employment termination, or academic failure resulting from a missed alarm.
Technical failures due to device battery depletion, operating system updates, hardware failure, or silent mode settings.

3. "Punishment" & Accountability Features

The app contains features designed to enforce discipline (e.g., detection of device shutdown during an alarm). By using the app, you acknowledge and agree that:

The app monitors for system shutdowns/restarts during active alarms using the ShutdownReceiver.
"Punishments" mentioned in the app are virtual or gamified consequences designed for psychological motivation.
You engage with these features voluntarily for self-improvement and accept full responsibility for any stress or pressure these features may induce.

4. Use of Accessibility Services

The app offers an optional "Monkey Mind Mode" which uses the Android Accessibility Service API. By enabling this feature in the settings, you explicitly grant the app permission to intercept specific key events (specifically the Power Button) solely while the alarm is ringing. You understand this is to prevent you from turning off the screen to bypass the alarm and involves no data collection.

5. User Data & Backups

The Last Boat operates Offline. Unwiring Apps does not store a copy of your data on any server.

Automatic Backups: The app performs automatic daily backups (overwriting previous files) to your local storage to help prevent data loss.
User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your data. If you uninstall the app or clear its data without ensuring a backup file exists in your Downloads folder, your journals and settings cannot be recovered by us.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
